Job summary

Advanced Technology and Research Corporation is looking for a mid-level engineer to join their Engineering Services Division at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Indian Head, MD. The role involves providing engineering support for rocket motors and conducting failure investigations.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of engineering experience. Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CAD tools are preferred, along with strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience with design, analysis, fundamentals of rocket motor propulsion is preferred.
• Experience writing analysis reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for rocket motor engineering at the Naval Surface Warfare Center.
• Support failure investigations and configuration management.
• Work in teams and individually on engineering projects.

Skills

Analytical skills with respect to mechanical drawings

Strong MS Office skills

Experience with MATLAB

Hands-on experience with testing ordnance

Excellent verbal/written communication skills

Education

BS degree in Mechanical engineering
