Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Launch & Test Engineer, Fluids (Starship) in Florida. You will analyze, design, and build fluid and mechanical systems to support rocket launches and testing in a fast-paced, development-focused setting.

You will own projects end-to-end, collaborate across disciplines, and help scale hardware for global launch sites, while maintaining safety and quality in high-pressure environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, aerospace, or related engineering field.
• 1+ years of hands-on build or design experience (internships, clubs, or competition teams count).
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team, take initiative, and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to perform other related duties to ensure efficient work environment.
• Experience with high-pressure and cryogenic fluid systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and build systems that support critical rocket launches and testing.
• Cradle-to-grave project ownership through hosting design reviews, decision justification, procurement, and construction coordination.
• Design modular hardware for future launch sites across the world.
• Apply interdisciplinary engineering skills in system design, analysis, and optimization.
• Work directly with technicians to build designs and address real-world issues.
• Maintain a tight feedback loop with launch operations to meet deadlines.
• Activate and troubleshoot equipment to achieve design objectives and iterate maintenance strategies.
• Hands-on execution of daily field projects to keep rockets launching.
