Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in McGregor, TX, is seeking a Construction Project Manager, MEP, to lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction for its rocket development facility. You will oversee design, procurement, construction, and commissioning with senior engineers and contractors.

The role requires a degree or extensive experience, strong AutoCAD/Revit skills, and knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IECC, and IBC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management with 3+ years of field experience
• 7+ years of equivalent experience in construction, engineering, or facilities management in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team, consulting engineers, and contractors through MEP engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning
• Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace, industrial, and commercial projects
• Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines through contract close-out
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real time
• Coordinate with the electrical utility provider on design and engineering for reliable power
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, fabricators, and internal stakeholders
• Track and approve contractor invoicing
• Ensure contractors adhere to site safety standards and OSHA requirements
• Manage night shift and early morning contractors as project needs dictate
