Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student earning degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, construction management or a related technical field.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and intense startup environment.
• Experience with 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
• Basic knowledge of common construction and engineering principles.
• Ownership of technical projects from beginning to end, with minimal oversight.
• Coursework that includes thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Design facilities and infrastructure to support advanced propulsion test stands, including 3D modeling of structures, fluids and structural analysis, fabrication drawings, fluids P&IDs, and overall equipment layout.
• Solve a wide range of technical challenges, across broad ranges of timeframe, complexity, cost, and long-term impact.
• Assist in managing projects from initial concept and design through to construction, commissioning, and final signoff.
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation tasks.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
• Learn and apply MEP design principles in real-world settings, with particular focus on their role in efficient manufacturing and office layouts.
• Gain exposure to industry standards, building codes, and manufacturing facility best practices.
• Attend team meetings, engineering reviews, and vendor presentations to broaden your understanding of mechanical systems integration.
