Firefly Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a manufacturing engineer to drive component production at our Briggs, TX site.

You will bridge the machine shop and engineering teams, delivering feedback to optimize manufacturability and cost, and ensuring timely CAD-to-assembly handoffs for rocket components. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in engineering or 5+ years in a machine shop, extensive CAD/GD&T expertise, and experience with casting, forging, 3D printing, and sheet metal.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 5+ years in a machine shop.
• Proficiency in CAD and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Direct experience with casting, forging, metallic 3D printing, and sheet metal processes.

Aufgaben

• Act as liaison between machine shop and engineering.
• Provide feedback to engineers to optimize time and cost.
• Ensure on-time delivery from CAD models to finished components/assemblies.
• Research new manufacturing methods and processes.
• Collaborate with design to ensure manufacturability of components.
• Manage lookaheads for long-lead tasks.
• Improve processes and cycle times.
• Own a set of hardware and related responsibilities.
• Create comprehensive work instructions.
• Identify issues with quality and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Tooling and Programming for job readiness.
• Spearhead CAD modeling and detailing.
