Job summary

Firefly Aerospace, based at our Rocket Ranch in Briggs, Texas, is seeking a Technical Trainer who will build and deliver a scalable training program for manufacturing teams from onboarding onward. You will design curricula, create hands-on instruction, and use LMS tools to measure effectiveness, partnering with engineers and QA to improve processes and achieve faster, reliable onboarding.

Responsibilities include facilitating classroom and on-floor training, developing lesson plans, and tracking

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related hands-on manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years in manufacturing, aerospace, or production engineering with floor exposure.
• Ability to articulate processes into teachable steps.
• Strong, extroverted communication and relationship-building on the shop floor.
• Self-starter who can build structure and drive programs forward.
• Ability to learn new software, systems, and manufacturing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate instructor-led training across classroom, small-group, and hands-on sessions.
• Teach workers to navigate timekeeping, learning systems, and work instructions.
• Instruct documentation, traceability, and composites process requirements.
• Design and own structured onboarding with clear milestones and check points.
• Build development pathways and ongoing competency programs.
• Create lesson plans, demonstrations, and curricula using adult-learning principles.
• Use LMS and digital tools to scale and repeat courses.
• Define training metrics and analyze data to identify gaps and trends.
• Provide data-driven inputs to improve processes and tooling.
• Partner with technicians, engineers, and QA to stay current on processes.
