Job summary

The MacColl YMCA and Pawtucket YMCA in Lincoln, RI, are seeking enthusiastic Rock Wall/Gym Attendants to oversee daily operations at the Rock Wall and Gymnasium. The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and a welcoming environment for all members and guests.

The successful candidate will monitor activities, perform safety checks, enforce YMCA policies, and provide exceptional customer service to families and individuals of all ages.

Qualifications

• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required.
• Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire.
• Background check and YMCA screening completed.
• Experience with children and diverse populations preferred.
• Ability to build positive relationships with people from different backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Rock Wall and Gymnasium to ensure a safe, clean, welcoming environment for all participants.
• Monitor Rock Wall activities, ensuring safe procedures and proper use of safety equipment.
• Perform safety checks of climbing equipment and report maintenance issues.
• Provide attentive supervision of children, teens, and adults while maintaining a positive atmosphere.
• Enforce YMCA policies and risk management procedures.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and assist participants as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of Rock Wall and Gymnasium.
