Job summary

Linde is seeking a ROC Technician for Tonawanda, NY. You will operate multiple plants from the central control room, serving as the primary board operator and responding to alarms and process upsets.

You will interact daily with local plant technicians, lead technicians, engineers, and management to keep operations safe and reliable. You will track trends, adjust plant settings, start-up and shut down equipment as needed, and collaborate with the Pipeline Business Center to ensure pipeline

Qualifications

• Dependability and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
• Ability to learn industrial processes and interpret Process and Instrumentation Diagrams with confidence.
• Competency with computers, Microsoft applications, email, and process control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and diagnostic skills; understanding of process control schematics.
• Clear verbal and written communication to support teamwork and safe operations.
• Self-directed learning and ability to work independently with sound judgment.
• Physical ability to walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 45 pounds.
• Willingness to work a 12-hour swing shift and support coverage needs.

• Operate multiple plants safely, reliably, and efficiently from the central control room to support continuous performance.
• Serve as the primary board operator, ensuring optimal plant operations and responding promptly to alarms and process upsets.
• Communicate effectively with local plant technicians, lead technicians, engineers, and management each day.
• Track operational trends, identify anomalies, and review processes to maintain productivity and reliability.
• Adjust plant settings and manage equipment start‑up and shut down activities as needed to ensure safe execution.
• Collaborate with the Pipeline Business Center to support pipeline efficiency and stable system performance.
• Document and log operational changes while participating in required administrative duties.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and safety policies for regulated processes while supporting all safety, quality, environmental, and compliance initiatives.

Pay commensurate with experience. Open to salary range $53,625 - $78,650
