Job summary

Prince Industries is seeking a Lead Welder to oversee the welding department, program, test, set up and optimize operations to fabricate parts per customer specs. The role requires reviewing drawings and AWS code standards to ensure quality.

You will lead arc welding schedules, supervise machine setups, train operators on job-specific tasks, perform inspections with precision tools, and maintain documentation in Epicor MES.

Qualifications

• Proficiency reading prints, blueprints and weld symbols.
• Experience programming and operating FANUC/ABB robotic welders.
• Strong math skills for fractions, dimensions and tolerances.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee welding department operations and schedules.
• Program, test, set up and optimize welding processes.
• Review drawings/specs to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Train operators on job-specific tasks and maintain QA records.
• Inspect welds to AWS code standards and document results.
• Maintain housekeeping, safety and compliance with ISO/QS.
