Job summary

Gecko Robotics in Pittsburgh is seeking a hands-on Testing & Robotics Technician to be the execution backbone of the Field Infrastructure team, validating hardware before field deployment and supporting RCA on failures. You'll run test procedures, log data, and, several times a year, help assemble and configure new robot prototypes for testing.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical assembly experience in shop, lab, or manufacturing contexts.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and test procedures.
• Proficient in documenting observations and data clearly for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborative mindset, ownership, and disciplined data collection.

Responsibilities

• Execute test procedures for mechanical, electrical, and environmental verification of robotic hardware.
• Set up and operate test equipment including load cells, environmental chambers, oscilloscopes, calipers, and fixtures.
• Collect, log, and organize test data; document results in test reports and tracking systems.
• Identify anomalies during testing and escalate clearly to the engineering team.
• Assemble robot prototypes from drawings and perform sub-assembly and checks.
