Job summary

Gecko Robotics is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test to build and scale automated testing systems for our robotics platform. You will ensure software quality through regression testing, automation frameworks, and debugging across software and hardware boundaries.

You will work with software, robotics, and product teams to improve test coverage, reliability, and release confidence, and you will travel up to 25% to customer sites and field environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in CS, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, QA, or test automation.
• Proficiency in Python or Java and at least one test automation framework.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and scale automated regression testing frameworks for critical system functionalities.
• Define test strategies and coverage for new features to support high-confidence deployments.
• Design and execute tests across UI, robotics interactions, and sensor-driven workflows to validate real-world behavior.
• Investigate and triage issues across software, firmware, and hardware boundaries.
