Job summary

Gecko Robotics invites passionate engineering students to join its Field Infra Test & Reliability team in Pittsburgh for Summer 2027 as a Test & Reliability Engineer Intern. This onsite, full-time internship offers hands-on experience building tools, executing tests, and analyzing logs to improve robotic systems.

You will work with Python, Linux, and Git, collaborate with experienced engineers, and present your project, results, and next steps at internship end.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, robotics, or related technical discipline.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and May 2028.
• Ability to work onsite in Pittsburgh, Monday through Friday, for Summer 2027.
• Foundational programming experience in Python or another general-purpose language.
• Experience writing, testing, or debugging software through coursework or projects.
• Interest in software testing, reliability, robotics, embedded systems, or complex physical systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own a scoped engineering project that improves a test, regression, reliability-analysis, or test-data workflow.
• Plan, execute, and document software and integrated robotic-system tests under guidance of engineers.
• Analyze test results, document findings, and recommend improvements to test coverage.
• Develop or improve tooling, automation, scripts, or documentation for testing.
• Collaborate with Test & Reliability engineers and partner teams to align validation with observations.
• Present project results and next steps at internship end.
