Job summary

Halodi Robotics in Hayward, CA seeks a Test Engineer to build and maintain test systems for the NEO robotic hands and hand components. You will design fixtures, integrate instrumentation, write test software, run tests, troubleshoot failures, and work directly with hardware.

This hands‑on role owns tests from requirements through execution, analyzes telemetry, communicates results, and helps scale validation to support a growing robotic program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Demonstrated experience developing and integrating test systems for complex electromechanical products.
• Strong experience with systems combining sensors, motors, motor control electronics, wiring, structures, and embedded control systems.
• Ability to write test software, develop test profiles, interface test controls with embedded hardware, and modify device-under-test software.
• Experience working with telemetry and real‑time signals for automated testing, diagnostics, or closed‑loop control.
• Hands‑on experience with data acquisition systems, power supplies, microcontrollers, wiring/relays, actuators, sensors, and fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain end‑to‑end test systems for robotic hands and components.
• Design and assemble fixtures and fixtures, instrumentation, and safety systems.
• Write test software and control logic to run tests and collect telemetry.
• Troubleshoot failures and interact with hardware during test campaigns.
• Analyze telemetry data to identify anomalies and communicate results clearly.
• Own tests from equipment bring‑up through completion and safe operation of test rigs.
• Develop reusable test software architectures to scale validation as the program grows.
