Job summary

Wilbert Inc. under Marmon Holdings, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a technically proficient professional to support robotic cell design and maintenance in a manufacturing setting.

You will input fixture designs, assist with sourcing and maintain layouts, while establishing standards and schedules to improve efficiency. The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years mechanical experience, and electronics/PLC familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ mechanical experience.
• Experience in electronics (including PLC’s) required.
• Experience in Mechanical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Reading blueprints/schematics required.
• Exposure to/experience with CAD programs preferred.
• Experience in the plastics industry preferred.
• Experience using a forklift preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid forklift license to hold position.
• All required WilbertU Courses based on job title.

Responsibilities

• Provide input for fixture design on new and existing programs.
• Assist with the sourcing of equipment, parts, supplies, and technical support.
• Develop and maintains layout of work cells.
• Establish production/process standards.
• Establish and monitor maintenance schedules.
• Write and update specific work instructions for Robotic cells.
• Train personnel on equipment and processes.
• Maintain robots, mechanical or electronic equipment, and PLC’s.
• Analyze robotic problems and help with root cause analysis and corrective measures.
• Provide feedback for long–term machine use/efficiency.
• Identify and implement process improvements and modifications to ensure the greatest efficiency in the manufacturing environment with safety and productivity a priority.
• Safely use forklifts and other equipment needed for job task.
• Observe all safety requirements and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ mechanical experience.
