Job summary

Kids for the Future in Lancaster, NY is seeking a hands-on FIP Robotics Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will program and set up robotic dispensing equipment, run prototypes, and troubleshoot processes to deliver reliable production results.

This role requires an associate degree in engineering tech or related field, experience with CAD and robotics, and a keen eye for quality. You’ll work with aerospace/defense components and evolve processes toward repeatable production.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology or related field required.
• Experience programming, setting up, operating, or troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to repeatable results.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) a plus.
• Willingness to ask questions, verify results, and raise concerns when something looks off.

Responsibilities

• Set up and program robotic dispensing equipment (PVA, Asymtek, Fanuc).
• Run prototype and production trials with customer parts.
• Test robotic programs to ensure quality, consistency, and repeatability.
• Troubleshoot programming, equipment, tooling, and process issues.
• Develop, modify, and work with fixtures and tooling for accurate production.
• Read technical drawings and CAD files to guide setups and processes.
