Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure setups meet established requirements and coordinate with operators.

Are you someone who enjoys working with both technology and your hands—and takes pride in getting the details right?

We’re looking for an FIP Robotics Technician to join our manufacturing team in Lancaster, NY. This is a hands‑on technical position where you’ll work in a dedicated robotic dispensing work cell, programming equipment, setting up jobs, running prototypes, troubleshooting processes, and helping develop reliable production solutions.

The components and applications we support include aerospace and defense, where precision, consistency, and quality are critical. This role isn’t simply about getting a robot to run—it’s about developing a process that produces the right result every time.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and program robotic dispensing equipment, including PVA, Asymtek, and Fanuc systems.
• Run prototype and production trials using customer‑supplied parts and housings.
• Test robotic programs and dispensing processes to ensure they meet expected quality, consistency, and repeatability requirements.
• Troubleshoot programming, equipment, tooling, and process issues to identify the root cause of problems.
• Make programming and setup adjustments based on testing and results—not simply until the equipment runs, but until the process is right.
• Develop, modify, and work with fixtures and tooling used to support accurate and repeatable production.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and CAD files.
• Verify that setups and processes consistently produce results that meet established requirements.
• Work closely with production operators and other team members to resolve technical and quality issues.
• Support the transition of successful prototype processes into controlled, repeatable production processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, reliability, and process performance.
• Follow established work instructions, quality procedures, safety requirements, and manufacturing standards.

A Strong Candidate May Have

• An Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, Manufacturing Technology, CNC/Machining, or a related technical field.
• Experience programming, setting up, operating, or troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, repeatable results.
• The ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or other CAD/drawing software — a plus.
• A willingness to ask questions, verify results, and raise concerns when something doesn’t look right.
• An interest in working in a hands‑on manufacturing environment rather than a primarily desk‑based role.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 8–12 hours per shift).
• Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and products up to 25–50 pounds.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for handling, assembling, and operating machinery and tools.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and arms.
• Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to hear machine sounds, alarms, and verbal instructions in a manufacturing environment.
• Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, crouching, twisting and climbing to load/unload materials and maintain equipment.
• Must be able to work in an environment with noise, vibration, and varying temperatures, while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Salary ranges for this position are determined based upon the job location and can be adjusted based upon experience, reflecting our commitment to valuing the expertise and contributions of our individual team members.
