Job summary

Weave Robotics, Inc. is seeking a Systems Software Engineer focused on the operating system. You will own the OS and IPC layers, including the kernel with real-time behavior, scheduling, memory management, user-space drivers, and the shared-memory transport for low-latency data movement.

You will bring up new hardware alongside hardware, controls, and robotics engineers, ensuring unattended operation from boot to OTA updates with rollback and service supervision.

Qualifications

• 3+ years OS-level experience on Linux.
• Strong production-quality C++ for embedded or real-time systems.
• Solid systems programming with IPC, scheduling, memory management; experience with embedded Linux stack.

Responsibilities

• System architecture: design core OS-level services including networking, IPC, scheduling, synchronization, and resource management.
• Understand and optimize system performance across CPU usage, latency, throughput, memory, and scheduling in robotics software.
• Design for reliability with diagnostics, health monitoring, and fault handling to improve robot robustness.
• Debug across the stack spanning hardware, firmware, and robotics software.
