Job summary

Weave Robotics, Inc. seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to write and maintain software closely tied to hardware across new robotic platforms. You’ll work on MCU firmware, device drivers, and sensor/actuator interfaces, ensuring robust, real-time performance.

You’ll collaborate with hardware engineers to bring up boards, validate functionality, and drive efficient software interfaces across the robotics stack. This role focuses on determinism and reliability for mass-produced units.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience developing embedded software in robotics or similar electromechanical systems.
• Driver development: creating robust interfaces from datasheets to software.
• Hardware-level debugging across electronics, firmware, and drivers using scope, datasheets, and analyzers.
• Experience building true real-time systems with deterministic behavior under constraints.
• Fluent in C/C++ and comfortable with Python tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop production embedded software for robotic systems using modern C++.
• Bring up new hardware and validate system functionality with EE team.
• Build real-time software meeting timing constraints and managing concurrency.
• Own buses (GMSL SerDes, RS-485, CAN, SPI/I2C) and perform electrical-to-software debugging.
• Systematize bring-up with testable manufacturing checklists.
