Job summary

Mind Robotics seeks a Systems Engineer to own integration across the robot—from decomposing high-level behaviors into measurable specs to debugging complex interactions as the system runs. You'll collaborate with hardware and firmware teams on architecture, define interfaces, and own specs from concept through field deployment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in systems engineering or a cross-disciplinary hardware role.
• Strong hardware and software fundamentals; bridge electrical schematics, embedded protocols, and firmware architecture.
• Hands-on debugging of subsystems with networked microprocessors and electromechanical devices; read/modify/compile C/C++.
• Experience defining requirements from high-level system behaviors and making them measurable.
• Proficient in data analysis and visualization; extract signals from noisy data.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, fast-paced, and engineering-curious.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architectural decisions for new robot subsystems and partitioning.
• Define interfaces and validation strategies with electrical, mechanical, and firmware teams.
• Define software requirements from high-level system specs using first-principles and testing.
• Prototype components and full systems; de-risk new technologies before production.
• Debug hardware-software interactions during design, launch, and field deployment.
• Analyze failure modes and define system-level test plans.
• Drive readiness reviews, sign-off, and post-launch monitoring across stakeholders.
