Job summary

Moderna in Norwood, MA is seeking a Director, Robotics Program Implementation Lead to shape and execute the robotics strategy across the CMC manufacturing network. You will identify opportunities, build roadmaps, and run a portfolio of robotics programs from concept through deployment.

You will partner with leaders across engineering, digital, quality, MSAT, and site leadership to drive standardized, scalable robotics solutions that meet regulatory requirements and deliver measurable business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years in manufacturing, engineering, automation, or program leadership in regulated biopharma.
• cGMP experience in Drug Substance or Drug Product manufacturing.
• Experience building business cases, investment estimates, and project plans.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional programs end-to-end.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0, ISA-95/ISA-88, and data/integration concepts.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Moderna's CMC robotics strategy and roadmap.
• Identify and prioritize robotics opportunities (AMRs, Machine Tending, Humanoids).
• Partner with leaders to translate needs into robotics initiatives.
• Define solution approaches with subject matter experts.
• Develop investment estimates, timelines, and feasibility assessments.
• Lead a portfolio of robotics programs from concept through deployment and operationalization.
• Establish governance, milestones, risk management processes, and KPIs.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across business, engineering, digital, and quality.
• Remove barriers and influence decisions across levels of the organization.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or related
