Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field) is required.
• 5+ years of quality engineering experience in hardware/manufacturing.
• Hands-on QM systems experience, incl. calibration, drawing control, config management.
• Proficiency in inspection planning, GD&T interpretation, and MSA.
• Experience managing supplier quality, audits, FAI, and CAPA.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP or equivalent.
• Strong root cause analysis with structured problem solving.
• Excellent written and verbal English; cross-team collaboration.
• Must be eligible for U.S. government security clearance; travel up to 25%.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and maintain quality processes across Gecko locations.
• Ensure quality systems comply with standards and are implemented across programs.
• Integrate quality requirements early in product development lifecycle.
• Continuously improve quality procedures based on data and audits.
• Support systems/tools to improve cross-department collaboration (PDM/PLM, ERP, CRM).
• Develop inspection plans for incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Own inspection performance: track metrics, identify gaps, implement improvements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure practical inspection methods.
• Maintain calibration records and monitor inspection equipment.
• Support internal audits across locations.
• Lead supplier qualification activities including FAI and reporting.
• Monitor supplier quality using scorecards and metrics.
• Drive supplier corrective actions and sustained improvements.
• Build relationships with suppliers to address quality risks.
• Lead structured failure analysis and root cause investigations.
• Collaborate to implement effective corrective actions.
• Communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels.
• Own and administer corrective action system and metrics.
• Verify effectiveness via follow-up audits and data analysis.
• Drive culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Use QA tools: Onshape/Solidworks/Altium/Arena PDM/PLM, NetSuite, Salesforce, Jira.
