Job summary

Lab37 Robotics is seeking a skilled software tester for its robotics platforms in the Pittsburgh area. The role focuses on designing and maintaining tests, debugging complex software, and building automation tooling for reliability in real-world robotic systems.

The candidate will work with Linux environments, contribute to telemetry analysis, and collaborate with multiple engineering teams to raise testing standards and product quality.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ programming with memory management and concurrency.
• Proficiency in Python and scripting for automation and tooling.
• Strong debugging and data-driven problem solving.
• Experience developing tests at module and system levels.
• Solid Linux, Git and debugging tools fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain tests and testing infrastructure for robotics systems.
• Investigate software failures and troubleshoot complex system behaviors.
• Write and enhance C++ and scripting code for testing, validation and debugging.
• Analyze system metrics, logs and production data to identify trends and edge cases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve software quality and testing processes.
