Job summary

Intuitive Surgical is seeking a senior technologist to support the China New Product Development team. You will lead cross-functional efforts across robotics platforms, localize software, and drive regulatory submissions for China.

The role requires deep experience in C++ development, product lifecycle, and FDA/medical device regulatory knowledge, with travel up to 10%. You will mentor staff and coordinate interfaces across ISI and the China JV.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience with a BS in Computer Science; MS/PhD desired.
• Experience leading engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with product development lifecycle.
• Experience with class III medical devices and FDA regulations.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams across robotics platforms and software.
• Develop design inputs, test methods, and VER/validation activities.
• Coordinate interfaces across software, regulatory, design, and operations.
• Ensure projects are scoped, resourced, and delivered on time and budget.
• Act as liaison between ISI and JV leadership and stakeholders.
