Job summary

RoboForce is seeking a Robotics Software Engineer to build production‑grade software powering robot behavior in real‑world environments. You will develop, integrate, and improve autonomy, perception, planning, and controls across deployed robots operating in outdoor settings.

You will work hands‑on with hardware for in‑field validation, debug challenging real‑world problems, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to turn promising prototypes into reliable software that performs in the field.

Qualifications

• Education in robotics, CS, or EE; equivalent practical experience accepted.
• 2+ years in robotics or related field with production deployment.
• Strong C++ and Python for production robotics systems.
• Experience in core robotics domains (perception, planning, controls, localization).
• Proficiency with Linux development environments and debugging workflows.
• Collaborative, in-office work 5 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain production software for real-world robotic systems.
• Integrate robotics capabilities across perception, planning, controls, teleoperation, and platform software.
• Improve software quality through testing, validation, and fault handling.
• Investigate and resolve complex failures spanning software, hardware, and sensors.
• Build internal tools and workflows to improve developer velocity and release quality.
• Validate new features on hardware in real-world conditions.
