Job summary

Walden Robotics is building on-robot software powering humanoid robots in real-world industrial deployments. Working primarily in modern C++ and Python alongside experienced engineers, you'll develop and improve onboard services, tooling, and infrastructure that tie perception, control, teleoperation, and autonomy together into a working robot.

This is an early-career role for a strong software engineer eager to learn robotics from the inside—writing real code that runs on real robots, growing

Qualifications

• Strong programming fundamentals in C++ and Python.
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Comfort coding and debugging on Linux.
• Genuine interest in robotics and real-world systems.
• Ability to own a well-scoped problem from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• On-Robot Software Development: build onboard services and libraries in C++/Python.
• Systems Integration: connect perception, control, teleoperation, and autonomy.
• Tooling & Infrastructure: contribute to build systems, tests, deployments, tooling.
• Observability & Data: extend logging, diagnostics, and data pipelines.
• Debugging & Field Support: fix issues on real robots and harden software.
• Collaboration & Growth: work with controls, AI, teleoperation, and hardware teams.
