Job summary

Eka Robotics is seeking hands-on software engineers to scale our robotics R&D. You will own performance across the full software stack, profiling data flows to reduce end-to-end latencies across components in production systems.

You will work with C++ and Python, ROS2, and ML deployment tooling to push models to edge devices, implement safety functions, and improve observability, testing, and system identification for better controller performance.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or higher in CS/Robotics/CE or related technical field.
• 3+ years of professional C++ production-quality experience with memory management and real-time constraints.
• Hands-on experience with ROS2 or similar robotic middleware and custom message generation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain deep understanding of the full robotics software stack and optimize data flows to minimize end-to-end latencies.
• Design and implement logging and monitoring frameworks for rapid debugging and visibility into system dataflows.
• Develop testing suites and validation pipelines to identify robot degradation and anomalies.
• Design and execute experiments for system identification to refine simulation models and controller performance.
• Build streamlined deployment systems for ML models to simplify prototyping for research teams.
• Author and maintain production-grade C++ codebases; use Python for tooling and data analysis.
• Identify bottlenecks in performance and scalability and drive architecture improvements.
• Design safety functions compatible with ML models.
