Job summary

Amazon is seeking Software Development Engineer interns/co‑ops to solve real customer problems using modern technology. You will work on scalable cloud‑native microservices, own code from design to deployment, and participate in operational responsibilities in an agile environment.

You will join teams developing robotics, computer vision, and cloud services, with opportunities for mentorship, learning, and personal growth across multiple locations and start dates.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or above in computer-related field
• 18 years or older
• Experience with at least one general‑purpose programming language (Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript)
• Experience with data structures, basic algorithms, and object‑oriented design

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary Amazonians to design, build, and operate innovative products and services
• Design and develop scalable cloud‑native architectures and microservices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical docs
• Build and maintain resilient distributed systems that are scalable and cost‑effective
• Leverage GenAI and AI tools to enhance development productivity
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices
• Work in an agile CI/CD environment with on‑call responsibilities
• Demonstrate operational excellence through monitoring and troubleshooting production issues
• Design, develop and test software interacting with robotics and fulfillment technologies
