Job summary

Amazon is seeking Software Development Engineer interns/co‑ops to work on scalable cloud‑native services and robotics‑driven fulfillment technologies. You’ll design, implement, and deploy features end‑to‑end while collaborating with experienced Amazonians across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related STEM fields
• Experience with at least one general‑purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript
• Experience with data structure implementation, basic algorithm development, and/or object‑oriented design principles

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross‑disciplinary teams to design, build, and operate products and services
• Design and develop scalable cloud‑native architectures and microservices in large distributed environments
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
• Build and maintain resilient distributed systems that are scalable and cost‑effective
• Leverage GenAI and AI‑powered tools to enhance development productivity
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and design patterns
• Work in an agile environment with CI/CD and on‑call production responsibilities
• Demonstrate operational excellence through monitoring, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution
• Design, develop and test software components interacting with robotics, computer vision, and cloud services
