Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Software Development Engineer Fall intern/co-op for 2026. You will own parts of the codebase from design to deployment, collaborating with cross-functional Amazonians to build scalable services and robotics-enabled solutions.

The role emphasizes ownership, mentoring, and real-world impact across millions of customers. Interns work full-time, typically 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, with an on-site schedule.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or above in a STEM field.
• Experience with at least one general-purpose language (Java, Python, C++, etc.).
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, and OO design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to design, build, and operate products and services.
• Design and develop scalable cloud-native solutions using microservices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Build and maintain resilient distributed systems that are scalable and cost-effective.
• Leverage GenAI and AI-powered tools to boost development productivity.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices/design patterns.
• Work in an agile environment with CI/CD and on-call responsibilities.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
• Design, develop and test software components interacting with robotics and cloud services.
