Job summary

Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a Software Developer/Engineer to develop system software for a robotic diagnostic sample management system, interfacing with Siemens instruments. You will lead software teams, design multi-threaded solutions, and ensure high availability in Windows environments.

The role requires a BS degree and 8 years of relevant experience, with travel up to 10%. On-site in Newark, DE, with a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or in an acceptable alternate occupation
• Experience developing in C# in MS Windows software development environments (Visual Studio) and .NET
• Experience in designing and implementing multi-threaded applications
• Experience in interprocess communications methods such as WCF, and message queues
• Experience in fault tolerant and high availability software
• Advanced-level debugging skills in MS Windows (windbg, VS debugger)
• Experience using SQL databases
• Experience using software design tools like enterprise architecture and Visio
• Experience in configuration management such as ClearCase, TFS and bug/issue tracking tools
• Experience using tools to improve software code quality - Klocwork, Source Monitor
• 5 years of experience as a lead software developer
• 5 years of experience as a Technical Lead mentoring/guiding teams

Responsibilities

• Develop system software for robotic diagnostic sample management and handling system
• Lead a team of software engineers to deliver modules per milestones
• Design and implement software in MS-Windows environments
• Integrate multi-threaded, multi-process components
• Work with cross-functional teams to achieve near real-time performance
• Travel up to 10% domestically/internationally
