Allen Control Systems is a defense startup building an autonomous gun turret using computer vision and control systems. We are hiring a Robotics Software Engineer fluent in C++ or Python, across levels from Associate to Staff, with title set by experience.

The role involves designing high-performance software, collaborating with mechanical, electrical, CV, and software teams, and delivering robust, secure software with CI/CD and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Experience with robotics or autonomous systems.
• Experience with multi-threading and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software using C++ or Python.
• Optimize existing software for efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across disciplines.
• Implement code reviews, unit testing, and documentation.
• Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Work with Git, CI/CD pipelines and modern development tools.
• Develop algorithms and data structures for complex problems.
