Job summary

Framatome is seeking an experienced robotics software engineer to design, test, and integrate autonomous robotic systems for nondestructive inspection. You will work on sensor fusion, perception, localization, and trajectory planning across Windows and Linux environments.

You will mentor engineers, own subsystems, and collaborate with internal and external partners to shape future robot designs and deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related robotics software experience.
• Experience with modern C++ or Python and ROS2 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, debug, test, and review robotics systems incl. hardware-in-the-loop.
• Build and integrate subsystems for sensor fusion, perception, and autonomous deployment.
• Prototype and mature localization and state estimation (SLAM, VIO).
• Develop trajectory planning using cost maps, planners, and behavior trees.
• Diagnose sensor integration, timing, and system failures.
• Own applications over time, providing leadership and design defense with partners.
• Mentor junior software engineers.
