Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a mid-to-senior simulation engineer to architect and build the on-device robotics simulator stack. You will own runtime abstractions, physics/ rendering integrations, and data-generation paths for ARM-based robotics platforms.

You will collaborate with AI operations, perception, controls, and silicon teams to drive reproducible experiments from workstation to cloud.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, CS or related field; 4+ years in systems engineering.
• Advanced degrees or PhD with relevant robotics/simulation experience are valued.
• Experience with robotics simulators, real-time 3D engines, and ML for robotics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, integrates, validates in-house simulation platform for Qualcomm robotics.
• Specifies environments and evaluation criteria for training robot policies.
• Builds digital twins of robots, sensors, and work cells with hardware-in-the-loop.
• Develops synthetic data pipelines for robot foundation models and datasets.
• Works with sensor teams to model sensor behavior from real data.
• Collaborates with AI infrastructure to enable continuous learning pipelines.
• Performs code reviews, regression tests, and triages issues.
• Documentation and knowledge-sharing for complex software projects.
