Job summary

Persona AI is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Houston, TX. You will own inbound/outbound asset flow, inspect items, log inventory, and prepare shipments to customers and partners in the United States and abroad.

You will coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, and Operations to flag shortages, manage hazardous materials, and ensure safe, timely delivery in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years in shipping, receiving, warehouse or logistics, preferably in manufacturing or tech.
• Experience with inventory management or ERP systems and Excel/Google Sheets.
• Knowledge of carrier platforms (FedEx/UPS/DHL) and freight/LTL shipping.
• Strong attention to detail in counting, labeling, and documenting materials.
• Clear communication and coordinating with engineers, vendors, and carriers.
• Ability to prioritize and stay organized in a fast-moving environment.
• Forklift and pallet jack experience or willingness to certify.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and inspect for damage.
• Log items in inventory or ERP and route to engineering/build/test teams.
• Pick, pack, crate, and label outbound shipments, including robots and parts.
• Prepare shipping docs: B/Ls, packing lists, invoices, export paperwork.
• Coordinate pickups with carriers; track shipments and resolve delays.
• Maintain inventory through cycle counts and organized storage.
• Flag shortages and incorrect deliveries with Procurement/Engineering.
• Handle and store hazardous materials per safety rules.
• Keep receiving dock clean, safe, and organized; assist process improvements.
