Job summary

Amazon is seeking an SDE intern/co-op in the United States with opportunities across robotics teams. You will collaborate with experienced Amazonians to design, build, and operate scalable, cloud-native systems while advancing AI-powered tooling and automation.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, have experience with at least one major programming language, and can contribute to a fast-paced, on-site internship program in multiple U.S. locations including Seattle.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related STEM fields.
• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Knowledge of data structures, basic algorithms, and OO design principles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to design, build, and operate innovative products and services.
• Design and develop scalable solutions using cloud-native architectures and microservices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Build and maintain distributed, scalable, fault-tolerant, cost-effective systems.
• Leverage GenAI and AI-powered tools to enhance development productivity.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and design patterns.
• Work in an agile environment with CI/CD and on-call responsibilities.
• Demonstrate operational excellence through monitoring and troubleshooting production issues.
• Design, develop and test software components interacting with robotics and computer vision in fulfillment centers.
