Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer intern/co-op in Austin, TX to contribute to robotics software and cloud-based services. You will work with experienced Amazonians to design, build, and deploy scalable solutions that directly impact millions of customers.

You'll gain mentorship, participate in code reviews, and contribute to production ready systems using modern tech stacks across robotics, computer vision, and automation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor's degree or above in CS/CE/Data Science or related STEM fields
• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language (Java/Python/C/C++/C#/Go/Rust/TypeScript)
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and OO design

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design, build, and operate innovative products and services
• Design and develop scalable solutions using cloud-native architectures and microservices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
• Build and maintain resilient distributed systems that are scalable and cost-effective
• Work with GenAI and AI-powered tools to enhance development productivity
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices
• Participate in CI/CD and on-call duties
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues
• Develop software components interacting with robotics and fulfillment tech
