Job summary

FM Industries in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Robot Programmer and Process Engineer to analyze part models, customer drawings, and design data to create robot programs for thermal spray applications using ABB RobotStudio and SolidWorks.

You will develop RAPID programs, maintain code, supervise setup and prove-out, and guide tooling and fixtures, while complying with safety and EH&S requirements and contributing to continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents and draw conclusions.
• Proficiency with basic algebra, geometry and trigonometry.

Responsibilities

• Review and determine detailed thermal spray process for parts assigned.
• Develop tooling and fixtures as required and collaborate with engineering.
• Generate solid models and RAPID programs within ABB RobotStudio.
• Develop RAPID programs for parts assigned and maintain code repositories.
• Oversee setup, prove-out, and first article approvals with operators.
• Document standard process instructions for robot operators.
