Job summary
VCU Health in Richmond, VA, seeks a Robotics Program Manager to advance its DaVinci robotics program across multiple surgical specialties. You will lead strategic development, optimize utilization, and ensure safe, efficient, and financially sustainable growth.
The role partners with surgeons, OR leadership, perioperative services, vendors, and hospital administration to expand access to robotic surgery and drive outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
- 3 years progressive experience in robotic surgery across multiple specialties.
- Experience in an academic health center environment.
- RN licensure required; Master’s degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead development, implementation and continuous improvement of the DaVinci robotics program.
- Coordinate staff onboarding and training for robotic surgery to enable 24/7 robot access across specialties.
- Monitor case scheduling, block utilization and turnover times to improve efficiency.
- Track instrument usage and spending; partner with supply chain and vendors on inventory and savings opportunities.
- Maintain dashboards on utilization, surgeon volumes, and clinical outcomes; report metrics to hospital leadership.
- Identify new specialties and support education and robotics adoption; assist with community outreach and marketing.
