University Medical Center of El Paso seeks a Robotic Surgery Program Manager to lead strategic and operational growth of robotic surgery services across surgical specialties. You will collaborate with surgeons, OR leadership, perioperative services, and administration to optimize system utilization and workflows.
The role requires 3+ years in clinical direct care and in program coordination or operational leadership, with RN licensure in Texas and advanced certifications preferred.
The Robotic Surgery Program Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the robotic surgery program. This role is responsible for supporting safe, efficient, high-quality, and financially responsible growth of robotic surgery services across applicable surgical specialties. Partners with surgeons, operating room leadership, perioperative services, hospital administration, supply chain, vendors, and frontline staff to optimize robotic system utilization, improve workflows, support staff competency, and expand access to advanced surgical care. Serves as a key resource for robotic surgery operations, education, quality improvement, and program development while promoting collaboration, patient safety, staff engagement, and excellent clinical outcomes.
Work Experience:
Three years of clinical direct patient experience required.
Three years of experience in program coordination, service line management, or operational leadership within a hospital or surgical environment required. Experience developing workflows, improving efficiency, or managing clinical operations.
Experience in perioperative or surgical services, including direct involvement with robotic surgery. (DaVinci preferred).
Experience providing staff education, onboarding, or competency validation in a clinical setting.
Experience with data tracking, reporting, and performance monitoring related to surgical operations.
License/Registration/Certification:
Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing required.
Current BLS certification required.
Current PALS certification required.
Current ACLS certification required.
Additional specialty certifications (e.g., CNOR, RNFA, Robotic Surgery Certification through Intuitive Surgical) preferred.
Education and Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required. Master’s degree in a related field preferred .
