Amazon's Legal Department is recruiting a Corporate Counsel to support Worldwide Operations and Robotics teams in North Reading, MA. You will counsel engineers on product development, technology licensing, and IP matters to align legal risk with business goals.

The role requires JD, bar admission, 5+ years of experience in transactional and tech licensing, plus a mix of in-house and firm background. You will help ensure compliance and navigate regulatory challenges in fast-moving tech

Qualifications

Juris Doctor and bar admission required.
5+ years of post-bar legal experience.
Experience in transactional and technology licensing.
Experience in a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work.
Ability to distill complex legal issues into clear business guidance.
Experience in Product Safety & Compliance Law.
Knowledge of consumer devices, software, and related technologies.

Responsibilities

Partner with engineering and technology teams to provide legal guidance on product development, system implementation, and robotics initiatives.
Structure, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including technology, supply chain, licensing, and deployment contracts.
Assess and advise on legal, reputational, and compliance risks related to technical architecture and program design.
Provide strategic counsel on intellectual property matters and software licensing.
Develop and implement practical solutions to support business objectives while ensuring legal compliance.
