Jumio is seeking a Research Engineer in Lenexa, KS to design and scale robotic data collection and ML workflows. You will work with ROS/ROS2, build data pipelines, and contribute to model development for production deployments. Early-career engineers are encouraged to apply.

You will collaborate across ML, software, product, and research teams to improve data quality, system performance, and end-to-end AI capabilities for identity verification and biometrics projects.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/Robotics/EE/ML.
• 1–2 years in ML, robotics, or computer vision.
• Hands-on ROS/ROS2 experience with navigation/manipulation modules.
• Strong Python and C++ programming with well-documented code.
• Experience with databases and building data pipelines for training/evaluation.
• Experience implementing ML models in Python with PyTorch/TensorFlow/scikit-learn.

Responsabilidades

• Build and integrate ROS/ROS2 modules for navigation and data collection.
• Replicate mobile/web UI environments in robotic testing.
• Build and maintain training/test datasets from manipulators and apps.
• Mine and analyze data from internal databases to drive insights.
• Develop tooling to monitor data quality and model performance in production.
• Implement end-to-end ML workflows: data prep, training, testing, deployment.
• Write clean, modular C++ and Python code for cross-team reuse.
• Collaborate with ML, software, research and product teams to improve systems.
