Job summary

Figure AI, a San Jose-based AI robotics company, is seeking a Middleware Software Intern for Winter 2027 to help build core platform infrastructure for autonomous humanoid robots. You will work on enabling apps to exchange immense message rates and data, and provide tools for developers to visualize and interact with it.

The internship targets final-year undergrads or master's students or recent graduates completing their degree by 2026/2027, with a minimum 10-week commitment and in-office

Qualifications

• Graduate student or recent graduate in Computer Science or related field.
• Available for a minimum of 10 weeks.
• Demonstrated experience on hardware/software projects outside of coursework.
• Proficient in C++ and Python.
• Strong understanding of Linux.
• Solid knowledge of computer architecture and networking protocols.

Responsibilities

• Implement and test C++ software running on embedded Linux systems.
• Write Python scripts to investigate and resolve issues.
• Work with testing infrastructure to ensure fixes remain stable.
