Job summary

Figure, an AI robotics company in San Jose, CA, is seeking a seasoned C++ engineer for its Middleware team. You will design and build the core framework and infrastructure that powers autonomous humanoid robots, collaborating with client teams to remove bottlenecks and deliver low-latency communication.

The role requires 7+ years of production C++ experience, mastery of modern C++, familiarity with Python, embedded systems expertise, and a deep understanding of the Linux kernel/userspace

Job description

Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human level intelligence. Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA.
We are looking for an engineer to join our Middleware team with a passion for helping other teams move fast and fearless, and who appreciates the impact multiplier of that work.
Our middleware is an in-house design focused on efficiency and low latency/jitter. Delivering over 200,000 messages per second between 190 nodes on each robot, zero-copy and lock-free. We work hard to provide abstractions that make using it a pleasant experience for all teams at the company.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000 to $250,000 per year.
The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
