Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice (MRA) to learn electronic, mechanical, computer, and automation engineering skills on high-performance systems. You will work with journey workers, learn to analyze and repair equipment, and support safety, installation, and preventative maintenance to maximize availability.

You will be mentored by senior technicians, collaborate with operations partners, and develop skills through on-the-job training at multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of PC software experience including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Vocational/technical training or an associate degree or 1+ years Amazon RME experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing operational items.
• Knowledge of Mathematics.
• Experience in reading measurements.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance of conveyance equipment using the appropriate job plans, procedures and manuals.
• Conduct maintenance and basic troubleshooting of robotics and robotic work cells.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment components.
• Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachometers, etc.
• Move up to 49 lbs, stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours, climb ladders safely, and bend/reach as needed.
