Job summary

eBay is seeking a Mechanical Production Support Engineer to own the mechanical assembly processes of our card sorting robotic platforms. You will help shape the future of our robot assembly by improving processes and tooling used during assembly and testing.

Ideal candidates hold a mechanical engineering degree with CAD experience (SolidWorks or Siemens NX) and a track record in design for manufacturing and electro‑mechanical assembly deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering or a related field, or a combination of education and experience
• Experience with Computer Aided Design, SolidWorks or Siemens NX preferred
• Experience with assembling and testing prototypes
• Experience with design for manufacturing
• Experience owning deliverables for complex electro‑mechanical system assembly.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other specialists, assembly technicians, quality technicians, and customer support teams to ensure we are building reliable solutions for our customers.
• Design and Implement Tests involving card handling and mechanical designs
• Own mechanical improvements to current and future product assembly processes.
• Own deliverables and update collaborators on projects.
