Job summary

Autonomous Solutions, Inc. (ASI) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and test mechanical and electromechanical components for robotic unmanned vehicles.

You will apply engineering principles to engines, instruments, controls, and machines, while coordinating fabrication and installation to ensure adherence to specifications. The role requires strong CAD skills, FEA capability, and experience with manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5-7 years mechanical engineering experience.
• 5-7 years of machine and product design experience using SolidWorks, Pro-E, or Catia.
• Proficient in CAD/SolidWorks software.
• Experience with documenting design reviews.
• Familiar with GD&T and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze data to determine feasibility of design or application.
• Design products or systems for robotic control using mechanical principles.
• Participate in fabrication and installation to meet specifications.
• Coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair to optimize machine utilization.
• Design interfaces between machines, hardware, and software.
• Evaluate field installations and propose design improvements.
• Contribute to design reviews.
