Job summary

Agility Robotics is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, prototype, and refine electromechanical components for the next generation Digit humanoid. You will collaborate with electrical, industrial design, software, test, and manufacturing teams to shape robust mechanisms and assemblies for high-load, repetitive tasks.

You will use CAD to create parts, run analyses, and contribute to DFx, with a preference for robotics familiarity.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of mechanical design experience.
• Prototyping, characterising, testing and optimizing actuators.
• Experience in mechanical analysis including modeling, tolerance stacks, static and dynamic analysis, FEA and thermal analysis.
• Excellent CAD skills with SolidWorks, NX, Creo or Onshape.

Responsibilities

• Own 3D and 2D design of electromechanical components and subassemblies, including prototyping.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define requirements and develop design concepts.
• Perform engineering analyses to validate design decisions (structural and thermal).
• Present and participate in cross-functional design reviews.
• Support root cause investigations and implement improvements for reliability.
• Document mechanical engineering processes and track design work in Jira/Confluence.
• Travel up to 25% to Salem, Oregon.
