Job summary

Sereact GmbH in Boston, MA is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and prototype AI-driven robotic systems. You will own designs from concept to fabrication, create detailed 3D models and drawings, run simulations, and iterate with hands-on prototyping.

You will collaborate with electrical and software teams, coordinate with vendors, and optimize for cost, manufacturability, and performance. Travel approximately 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, robotics or automation.
• Experience in industrial design or special purpose machinery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems and components for AI driven robots.
• Conduct site visits to gather requirements for finished designs.
• Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for fabrication.
• Conduct mechanical simulations and performance testing to validate designs.
• Build, test, and iterate on prototypes hands on, feeding lessons back into designs.
• Optimize designs for cost, efficiency, and manufacturability.
• Translate designs into fabrication and assembly documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams for integration.
• Source components and coordinate with vendors on fabrication and lead times.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25%.
