Job summary

Agility Robotics in Fremont, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own the design of electromechanical components for the next Digit humanoid robot. You will prototype parts, collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams, and perform structural and thermal analyses to validate concepts.

This hybrid role requires on-site work at the Fremont facility at least three days per week and 25% travel to Salem, Oregon.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Proven experience in designing mechanisms and electronics packaging for robotics.
• Experience with actuators, gears, encoders, and drive-train components.
• Strong CAD skills in SolidWorks, NX, Creo or Onshape.
• Portfolio of prior work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own 3D/2D design of electromechanical components.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, industrial design, software, test, manufacturing).
• Perform structural and thermal analyses to validate design decisions.
• Present and participate in cross-functional design reviews.
• Document design work and track progress using Jira/Confluence.
• Travel up to 25% to Salem, Oregon.
