Job summary

Strativ Group in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own complex robotics hardware from concept to deployment, including prototype to production and field integration.

You will design mechanical and robotic systems, develop mechanisms and motion systems, produce CAD drawings and documentation, build and test prototypes, and drive rapid iteration to solve manufacturing challenges in a fast-growing hardware team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of mechanical engineering experience within robotics, automation, vehicles or complex machinery.
• Strong CAD, GD&T, tolerance analysis and design-for-manufacturing experience.
• Experience designing mechanisms involving motors, gearing, bearings and structural components.
• Proven experience taking hardware from initial design through manufacturing and physical testing.

Responsibilities

• Design complex mechanical and robotic systems from concept through production.
• Develop mechanisms, structural assemblies and motion systems for demanding applications.
• Produce detailed CAD, engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Build and test prototypes, solve failures and rapidly incorporate findings into future designs.
